Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund Top 6/1 European Accumulator

With the international break officially over, it is time to turn our attention back to domestic football across Europe.

Top tier action in France, Germany, Italy and Spain will give punters the chance to form major accumulators this weekend and I have had the privilege of honing in on what could be a winning 6/1 four-fold. Check out my selections below...

A mismatch on paper, Metz could surprise us all on Friday evening. The visitors relinquished their Ligue 1 crown to AS Monaco last season but Unai Emery’s side, buoyed by Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, look well placed to regain the French title.

At 1/10, they are hard to support in this contest – especially as Metz tend to find the net against their superior opponents. Both teams to score has landed in three of the last five head to heads and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see this land again.

EVS is a solid price considering their recent results and while Metz will be up against it, I’m hoping that the home crowd can get behind their side and a goal for the minnows could be on the cards...

TIP: Both teams to score @ EVS

For Freiburg, this is all about damage limitation. Borussia Dortmund have been sublime so far this season and the visitors will be looking to pick up where they left off before the latest international break.

Peter Bosz’s side are on the verge of something special and it will take a minor miracle for Dortmund to fall short in this particular contest.

The hosts struggled to inspire confidence in their opening two fixtures, picking up just one point in a fairly low key clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was linked with a move away from Signal Iduna Park earlier this summer but the Gabon striker will, for the time being at least, stay at the club – and he could be their difference maker for the most part of the campaign.

TIP: Borussia Dortmund to win @ 2/5

Inter appear to have regained their mojo and that is excellent for neutrals and fans of Italian football. With two wins from two fixtures, Luciano Spalletti’s side are showing early promise and supporters are excited at what the future holds.

For me, Inter will go out aggressively in the early stages here and the 4/7 for a half-time lead looks an absolute banker. The visitors, newly promoted to Serie A for the first time last season, have enjoyed a solid start to life in Italy’s top flight – picking up four points from their first two games.

However, this is where that run comes to an end; Inter should be much too strong and an early goal could see the floodgates open in front of an expectant San Siro crowd.

TIP: Inter Milan to win the first half @ 4/7

Athletic Bilbao are generally pretty consistent on home soil and it would take a brave man to back against them in this contest.

Leading forward Aduriz bagged the winner for Bilbao in their 1-0 victory away at Eibar prior to the international break and fans will expect him to score the goals again this weekend.

Like Spal, newly promoted Girona have also started the season strongly. The minnows are currently sixth in the La Liga table having picked up four points from a possible six so far but this may be a step too far.

Beating Bilbao on their own patch won’t be easy and I’m siding with the hosts to emerge victorious on Sunday afternoon.

TIP: Athletic Bilbao to win @ 7/10
