Valencia Lead 8/1 European Accumulator

We’ve got another action-packed weekend of domestic football approaching, starting with Valencia’s trip to Alaves at midday on Saturday afternoon. Focusing primarily on Europe’s top four divisions outside of the Premier League, I have put together this 8/1 accumulator for the weekend – check out my thoughts on all four matches below...

Alaves vs VALENCIA

Alaves will take confidence from their Copa del Rey win away at Getafe earlier this week but it would be foolish to expect a home win here. Valencia are flying high in Spain’s top flight and some punters will fancy Marcelino Garcia Toral’s men to continue their fine run of form on Saturday afternoon.

Everything in the form guide points to an away victory. Valencia have won their last three La Liga games whilst Alaves have mustered just three points from a possible nine. Furthermore, Valencia’s record against Alaves is impressive to say the least. The visitors have won four of their last five head-to-heads and another success could be on the cards.

TIP: Valencia to win @ 3/5

SCHALKE 04 vs VfL Wolfsburg

Like Valencia, Schalke are also in fantastic form right now. The hosts have won three on the spin and their record against Wolfsburg is equally as impressive. Three straight victories in this fixture should be enough to convince punters that Schalke are THE team to back in the Bundesliga this weekend.

Wolfsburg are languishing down in 14th and the visitors will be looking nervously over their shoulders at the relegation battle below. With just nine points from nine league games, it is hard to place any faith in Martin Schmidt’s side right now. Their away form isn’t great either and Schalke represent solid value at 7/10.

TIP: Schalke to win @ 7/10

A second away team makes the list but the value is almost too good to turn down. Lille, sat 19th in France’s top flight at the time of writing, are struggling for goals – they have scored just six in nine league games. Meanwhile, Marseille have had the complete opposite issue; they cannot stop scoring with 20 goals in 10 outings.

The visitors aren’t the finished article just yet but they are well on the way and it would be foolish to back against Marseille in this fixture. Having picked up positive results against Nice and Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks, Rudi Garcia’s side are confident and 6/5 could turn out to be an absolute steal if Marseille are at their brilliant best.

TIP: Marseille to win @ 6/5

Hellas Verona vs INTER MILAN

Last but not least, we have Inter Milan. Sitting pretty in second spot in Serie A, Inter must wait until Monday for their trip to Verona but the visitors will be quietly confident of picking up a positive result. The hosts are in the bottom half of the table and might not be able to cope with Inter’s prowess in attack.

Unbeaten in their last five games against Verona, Inter should be too strong for the Serie A minnows here – 21/50 is short enough but a comfortable away win looks likely. Barring a major collapse on Inter’s part, Luciano Spalletti’s men should maintain second place at the very least come Monday evening.

TIP: Inter to win @ 21/50
