The Premier League Darts table is starting to take shape. After a solid start to the campaign, 200/1 rank outsider Simon Whitlock’s form has tailed off whilst world number one Michael Van Gerwen has cemented his position at the top.

With just a few weeks until Judgement Night, every match is important in the race to avoid elimination. For the first time this year, Raymond Van Barneveld tops our weekly darts accumulator…

DARYL GURNEY vs Mensur Suljovic

This could finally be Gurney’s week to shine. Incredibly, he has lost just two Premier League matches but remains winless after four draws – Gurney led at some point in all four fixtures.

A victory is coming in the near future and 33/20 is a reasonable price considering his talent. The Northern Irishman will be desperate to pick up a huge two points here…

Suljovic is level on points with Gurney and the Austrian knows just how important this clash is. He was thrashed 7-2 by world champion Rob Cross last time out and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see Suljovic respond.

This has all the makings of an entertaining affair and both men will be looking to produce their best form on the Glasgow stage.

TIP: Daryl Gurney to win @ 33/20

Look no further than Van Gerwen here. The defending Premier League champion is eyeing up another major title and it would take a brave man to back against him on current form.

He has won four on the spin since losing 7-5 to Peter Wright and another victory beckons in this fixture. 33/100 isn’t much of a price but he looks a sure-fire bet.

Smith silenced his critics last week with a dominant 7-1 success against Peter Wright and he will be looking to push on and pick up another win here.

‘Bully Boy’ will need to be at his very best to compete with Van Gerwen and this also looks like a fantastic matchup. The world number one should be too strong though.

TIP: Michael Van Gerwen to win @ 33/100

GARY ANDERSON vs Simon Whitlock

Backing against the ‘Flying Scotsman’ at his home event would be foolish to say the least – Anderson will be fired up for this one.

The two-time world champion is 4/9 to secure a huge win on Thursday evening and plenty of punters will fancy the Scot at that price. You won’t find too many people supporting Whitlock in Glasgow.

That’s three Premier League fixtures without a win for Whitlock and the Australian will be desperate for a change in fortune.

Unfortunately for him, Anderson is in fantastic form and Whitlock may struggle to match his power scoring. This is only going one way – and it isn’t in favour of ‘The Wizard’.

TIP: Gary Anderson to win @ 4/9

It has been a month to forget for Wright. ‘Snakebite’ has suffered a couple of heavy defeats and a trip north of the border could be exactly what he needs to kickstart his campaign.

With just one victory in the competition, Wright is on the verge of elimination and another loss here could be catastrophic as Judgement Night draws closer.

I’m going with a Van Barneveld victory here – 5/4 is a decent price for the five-time world champion to emerge victorious.

The Dutchman was unlucky against Gary Anderson last time out and it would take a brave man to back against him on Thursday night. He is always well supported and he should be able to get the better of Wright.

TIP: Raymond Van Barneveld to win @ 5/4

ROB CROSS vs Gerwyn Price

Cross has now won four Premier League games in a row after a slow start to the campaign – the world champion is hitting top form.

A fifth looks likely here; Price has yet to taste victory in this year’s Premier League. Stick Cross in your accumulator at 2/5, he is probably the NAP ahead of Thursday’s trip to Glasgow.

Price has looked well out of his depth so far this tournament and it is difficult to place too much faith in ‘The Iceman’ at this moment in time.

He is currently rock bottom of the Premier League table and another defeat beckons here. Cross is on an upward trajectory and Price is struggling – that is a recipe for disaster.

TIP: Rob Cross to win @ 2/5
