Dave Chisnall is 8/5 to beat Raymond van Barneveld as the race for the top four of the Premier League hots up on the penultimate night of the regular season at Sheffield Arena.

Chisnall has breathed new life into his top-four hopes in recent weeks, extending his unbeaten streak to five matches with a point against leader Michael van Gerwen in Birmingham, following an uncertain start to the campaign.

Two wins and three draws, two of which came after letting 6-3 leads slip, have propelled Chisnall to 13 points, two behind fourth-placed Phil Taylor with two fixtures remaining.

While Chisnall is in fine form, Van Barneveld is struggling after losing three games on the spin following a five-match winning run, leaving him one point adrift of Taylor.

But Chisnall has momentum and is a good bet to keep his play-off hopes alive on Thursday night.

He told PDC.tv: "I'm still in with a shout and I'll prepare myself like I have for the last few weeks.

"If I could have started the league like I'm ending it I'd probably be top but I still think I can get through. Raymond's a great player so I'll just keep playing my own game and hopefully I can keep getting the results."

Gary Anderson is 13/8 to beat James Wade, complete the highest checkout and hit most 180s.

Victory for the Scot would see him qualify for the play-offs, joining Van Gerwen and Peter Wright at the O2 later this month, with one night remaining.

Taylor's bid for a top-four spot continues against Van Gerwen, who has only lost one of 11 Premier League meetings with 'The Power'.

The world number one also whitewashed Adrian Lewis 7-0 in his final game last week and hit a nine-darter in the Players Championship on Saturday.

Taylor has taken at least three legs off Van Gerwen in 10 of his 11 fixtures so another 7-3 scoreline at 11/2 could be a decent shout.

Wright is breathing down Van Gerwen's neck in the battle for top spot, currently three points behind with four available, and is favourite to heap more misery on Lewis.

Lewis suffered a terrible night in Birmingham, losing both matches without hitting a 180, and Wright is 6/5 to win the battle of the maximums in South Yorkshire.
