Birmingham v Norwich: betting preview with 888sport
Blues face a tough test against Even money promotion shots Norwich as Gary Rowett’s boys try to bounce back from last weekend’s derby defeat to Wolves.
The Canaries, unbeaten since their return to the Championship, also advanced to the third round of the EFL Cup with a thumping 6-1 win over Coventry in midweek, but with just one win in their last ten visits to St Andrews, ‘Birmingham away’ on the fixture list won’t be relished by boss Alex Neil.
There has been precious little to choose between these two in recent seasons, with the last four encounters ending in draws, and that eventuality is where the value lies on Saturday.
Blues came out of the blocks fast against Wolves, and with Rowett sure to demand more of the same, the 9/2 about 1-0 to the home side at half-time looks like a decent bit of value.
With Norwich is good form, you’d fully expect both teams to score over the 90, so the Evens about that occurring should be snapped up, while another market of interest is the HT/FT, with Blues after 45 and a draw at the end a massive 14/1.
For the visitors, Cameron Jerome leads the betting at 24/5.
Prediction: 1-1 6/1
Bet of the day: Both teams to score Evens
Outside punt: Home win HT, Draw FT 14/1
