Ohhh!!!! Was that a sweet little start to our NBA Final or what? Thanks to the Warriors 48 minute domination we have a 2 for 2 start and now playing with some house money early on in this series. Stephen Curry and Golden State have 13 straight wins in the 2017 playoffs and we have a little extra pocket cash to enjoy Game 2.
It again was obvious that playing basketball under a team concept is the way Warriors do things while Cleveland is LeBron James and two more stars. LeBron and company did everything they could one more time. Between him, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love they scored 67 points, grabbed 39 rebounds and dished out 11 assists but this time it was not enough to win the first game of the 2017 NBA finals.
While the Cavs only had 7 players able to score the Warriors had 12. Kevin Durant was spectacular from the tipoff in his first final with Golden State and showed everyone this is why he was brought into town. KD finished the game with 38 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists while Stephen Curry chipped in with 28, 10 and 6 to lead their team to a Game 1 blowout, 113-91. If you read my last article you would know that blowout was to be expected.
All these numbers look very nice especially for those who follow me here because not only did we win yesterday with the Warriors at -7.5 points but we also hit it big with the -225.5 total. We started this final making money, but here the goal is to keep winning. That's why we are going to talk about the second game Sunday night / Monday morning in the UK.
Well it's my job to do the homework and look for trends so that you can feel a bit more secure and comfortable when placing your bets in 888sport.com. Here we start with a very important trend but maybe one that wont matter. Since 1991 the favorites in Game 1 of the finals are 18-9 against the spread but in Game 2 things seem to make a radical change as the favorites are only 9-16-1 against the spread. But we should not forget what happened last year in the second game, it was a 110-77 blowout by the Warriors. Golden State smells blood here and are still feeling the effects of blowing the 3-1 lead in last years finals, eventhough the spread has raised to 8.5 points I think we go against the trend and bet with the Golden State Warriors -8.5.
I also noticed in 888sport.com that they have lowered the total points by 4 to 221.5. If we remember my last article the average points scored between these two teams in the last 9 games is 204, yesterday may have been nothing more than a coincidence but the 113-91 final falls dead on that number. Now with a total of 221.5 points set for Sunday I would be ill advised to change the course of things. If I were to guess the total points for this game before I saw it I would of predicted around the 208 mark leaving me with about 13 points to spare. Let’s go again with the Under 221.5.
I know it’s the same bet as Game 1 but if we have the same result we will be raking in some good money. Enjoy Game 2 and see you back here for the third.
